On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Start and warm up the engine.
    4. Turn the Techstream ON and select VVT from the Active Test menu.
    5. Check the engine speed when the OCV is operated by the Techstream.

      OK 

      ENGINE SPEED OPERATING CONDITION

      Condition Specified Condition
      VVT system is OFF (OCV is OFF) Normal engine speed
      VVT system is ON (OCV us ON) Rough idle or engine stalled
