How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

  3. CHECK AND CLEAR DTCs* 
  4. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 

    Result 

    RESULT CHART

    Result Proceed to
    Symptom does not occur. A
    Symptom occurs. B

    B: Go to step  6

    A: Go to Next Step 

  5. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 
  6. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 

    HINT:

    Check that there are no problems in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting of the steering lock system.

  7. DTC CHECK* 
    1. Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).

    Result 

    RESULT CHART

    Result Proceed to
    DTC Is output. A
    DTC Is not output. B

    A: Go to step  9

    B: Go to Next Step
