Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Installation

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 2) 
    1. Exhaust side:
      1. Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

      2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

    2. Intake side:
      1. Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

      2. Install the camshaft tinning oil control valve assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

  2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1) 
    1. Exhaust side:
      1. Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

      2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

    2. Intake side:
      1. Apply a coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

      2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.

        Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

  3. INSTALL HARNESS PROTECTOR 
    1. Connect the 2 studs [A].

    2. Connect the 2 clamps [B].
    3. Connect the 19 connectors [C].
    4. Install the 5 bolts and nut [D].

      Torque: 8.3 N*m (84 kgf*cm, 73 in.*lbf) 

  4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL THROTTLE BODY BRACKET  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. FULLY TIGHTEN NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. FULLY TIGHTEN THROTTLE BODY BRACKET  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  11. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See REPLACEMENT )
  12. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  (See COOLING SYSTEM )
  13. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  14. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  15. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  16. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  17. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  18. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  19. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
  20. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
