Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
    1. Refer to the MULTI-DISPLAY POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT  ). If the power source circuit is operating normally, proceed to the next step.
  2. INSPECT FUSE (RAD NO. 1) 
    1. Disconnect the RAD NO. 1 fuse from the engine room junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

    RESISTANCE REFERENCE

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    RAD NO. 1 fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG: REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU - MULTI-DISPLAY, BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F32 ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the F30 display connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F32-13 (ACC) - F30-7 (ACC2) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-15 (GND1) - F30-6 (GND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      F32-13 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F32-15 (GND1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the valve(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

    VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    F32-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  4. INSPECT MULTI-DISPLAY 
    1. Reconnect the F30 display connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

    VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    F30-6 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 V
    F30-7 (ACC2) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

    NG: REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY  (See MULTI-DISPLAY (W/NAVIGATION SYSTEM)  )

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
