Air Bag Control Module: Testing and Inspection

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check DTC Check / Clear.
2. INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)
(a) Perform a diagnostic system check DTC Check / Clear.
3. INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED)
(a) Replace the center airbag sensor assembly.
CAUTION: Be sure to follow the correct removal and installation procedures for the center airbag sensor assembly.
HINT: The center airbag sensor assembly should be replaced after any of the airbags has deployed, as it has been subjected to an impact.
