Inspection Procedure

HINT:

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.

  1. CHECK THAT DISC IS INSERTED PROPERLY 
    1. Check whether or not the disc is inserted upside down.

      OK: The disc is properly inserted  .

      NG: REINSERT DISC 

      OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. CHECK DISC 
    1. Check that the disc is not deformed or cracked.

      OK: No deformation or cracks on the disc 

      NG: CHANGE DISC 

      OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. DISC CLEANING 
    1. Disc cleaning
      1. If dirt is on the disc surface, wipe it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.
        NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
  5. RECHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

      OK: Malfunction disappears  .

      NG: Go to step   6 

      OK: END 

  6. REPLACE DISC WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK 
    1. Replace the disc with a known good one and recheck.
      1. Replace the disc with a known good one.
      2. Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
      3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

        OK: Malfunction disappears  .

        NG: REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL  )

        OK: END
