Front Wiper Motor: Installation

INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
1. Install the windshield wiper motor assembly with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf)
2. Connect the connector.

3. Apply MP grease to the crank arm pivot of the windshield wiper motor assembly.

4. Connect the rod of the windshield wiper link assembly to the crank arm pivot of the windshield wiper motor assembly.

INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
1. Install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly with the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.
  Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf)
2. Connect the connector.

INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH
1. Engage the 7 claws to install the cowl top ventilator louver LH as shown in the illustration.
2. Install the clip.

INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH
1. Engage the 12 claws and guide to install the cowl top ventilator louver RH as shown in the illustration.
2. Install the clip.

INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL
1. Engage the 7 clips.
2. Engage the 2 claws to install the hood to cowl top seal.

INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

Operate the wiper and stop the windshield wiper motor at the automatic stop position.

When reusing the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH:
1. Clean the wiper arm serrations.

When reusing the windshield wiper link assembly:
1. Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

Install the front wiper arm and blade assembly RH with the nut to the position shown in the illustration.

Torque: 26 N*m (265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf)

HINT:

Hold the wiper arm by hand when tightening the nut.

AREA MEASUREMENT REFERENCE

Area	Measurement
A	19.5 to 34.5 mm (0.768 to 1.36 in.)

INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

Operate the wiper and stop the windshield wiper motor at the automatic stop position.

When reusing the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH:
1. Clean the wiper arm serrations.

When reusing the windshield wiper link assembly:
1. Clean the wiper pivot serrations with a wire brush.

Install the front wiper arm and blade assembly LH with the nut to the position shown in the illustration.

Torque: 26 N*m (265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf)

HINT:

Hold the wiper arm by hand when tightening the nut.

AREA MEASUREMENT REFERENCE

Area	Measurement
A	25.5 to 40.5 mm (1.00 to 1.59 in.)

Operate the front wipers while spraying washer fluid onto the windshield. Make sure that the front wipers function properly and the wipers do not come into contact with the vehicle body.

INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP
1. Install the 2 front wiper arm head caps.
