BRAKE ACTUATOR (w/o VSC): Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Refer to the instructions for Removal of the front bumper assembly (See REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (for 2ZR-FE)

Refer to the instructions for Removal of the generator assembly (See REMOVAL ).
- REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY (for 2AZ-FE)
HINT:
Refer to the instructions for Removal of the generator assembly (See REMOVAL ).
- DRAIN BRAKE FLUID NOTE: If brake fluid leaks onto any painted surface, immediately wash it off.
- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
- REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY
- Remove the 3 bolts and radiator reserve tank assembly.
- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and clamp and disconnect the motor connectors.
- Separate the washer hose from the windshield washer jar assembly.
- Remove the 2 bolts, clamp and the windshield washer jar assembly from the body.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
- Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.NOTE: Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.
- Remove the bolt.
- Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), disconnect the 6 brake lines from the actuator assembly.
- Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.

- *2: To front wheel cylinder LH
- *3: To rear wheel cylinder RH
- *4: To rear wheel cylinder LH
- *5: From 1st master cylinder
- *6: From 2nd master cylinder
- Remove the 2 bolts, nut and brake actuator with bracket from the body.
- Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.
- REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR
- Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
