Installation (To 12/2010): Installation

- INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY
- Connect the 2 connectors.
- Install the transmission floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY NOTE:
Check that the park/neutral position switch and the shift lever are in neutral.
- Slide the slider of the transmission control cable in the direction indicated by the arrow and pull the lock piece outward.

- Check that the lock piece is pulled up.
- Push the lock piece into the adjuster case.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Lock Piece *2 Adjuster Case NOTE:- Check that the park/neutral position switch and the shift lever are in neutral.
- Securely push in the lock piece until the slider lock is engaged.
- Slide the slider of the transmission control cable in the direction indicated by the arrow and pull the lock piece outward.
- INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
- INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
- INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CARPET . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
- INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
- INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER
- Install the shift lock release button cover to the position indicator housing assembly.
- INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 14
- INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 15
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
