Installation (To 12/2010): Installation

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the 2 connectors.
    2. Install the transmission floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    Check that the park/neutral position switch and the shift lever are in neutral.

    1. Slide the slider of the transmission control cable in the direction indicated by the arrow and pull the lock piece outward.

    2. Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the transmission floor shift assembly.

      *1 Lock Piece
      NOTE:
      • Securely engage the claws.
      • Check that the lock piece is pulled up.
    3. Push the lock piece into the adjuster case.

      *1 Lock Piece
      *2 Adjuster Case
      NOTE:
      • Check that the park/neutral position switch and the shift lever are in neutral.
      • Securely push in the lock piece until the slider lock is engaged.
  3. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE BOX  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  4. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  5. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CARPET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
  6. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 12
  7. INSTALL SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON COVER 
    1. Install the shift lock release button cover to the position indicator housing assembly.
  8. INSTALL POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 14
  9. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 15
  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  11. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION  See step  1
  12. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION  See step  2
