Terminals Of Ecu

  1. TCM

    HINT: 

    Each TCM terminal's standard voltage is shown in the table below.

    In the table, first follow the information under "Condition". Look under "Terminals No. (Symbols)" for the terminals to be inspected. The standard voltage between the terminals is shown under "Specified Condition".

    Use the illustration above as a reference for the TCM terminals.

    B53-15 (R) - B53-8 (E1) W - B R shift position switch signal IG switch ON (IG) and shift lever in R position 11 to 14 V
    IG switch ON (IG) and shift lever except R position Below 1 V
    B53-16 (D) - B53-8 (E1) R - B D shift position switch signal IG switch ON (IG) and shift lever in D and S position 11 to 14 V
    IG switch ON (IG) and shift lever except D and S position Below 1 V
    B53-12 (STP) - B53-8 (E1) B - B Stop light switch signal Brake pedal is depressed 7.5 to 14 V
    Brake pedal is released Below 1.5 V
    B53-11 (NSW) - B53-8 (E1) L - B Park/neutral switch signal IG switch ON (IG) and shift lever in P or N position Below 2 V
    IG switch ON (IG) and shift lever except P or N position 11 to 14 V
    B53-10 (STA) - B53-8 (E1) Y - B Starter signal Cranking (shift lever position in P or N position, ignition switch START) 11 to 14 V
    IG switch ON (IG) and shift lever except P or N position Below 2 V
    B53-3 (SPD) - B53-8 (E1) BR - B Speed signal from combination meter Vehicle speed 12 mph (20 km/h) Pulse generation

    B53-1 (BATT) -B53-8 (E1) W-L - B Battery (for measuring battery voltage and for TCM memory) Always 9 to 14 V
    B53-13 (IGSW) - B53-8 (E1) L-B - B Ignition switch Ignition switch ON (IG) 9 to 14 V
    B53-18 (+B) - B53-8 (E1) G - B Power source of TCM Ignition switch ON (IG) 9 to 14 V
    B53-6 (CAN+) - B53-8 (E1) B - B CAN communication line Engine is stopped and Ignition switch ON (IG) Pulse generation

      Vehicle condition Vehicle speed 12 mph (20 km/h)

      Tool setting 1 V/DIV., 10 ms./DIV.
      Vehicle condition Engine is stopped, ignition ON (IG)

      Terminal CAN- - E1
      Tool setting 1 V/DIV., 10 ms./DIV.
      Vehicle condition Engine is stopped, ignition ON (IG)
  2. ECM 

    HINT: 

    Each ECM terminal's standard voltage is shown in the table below.

    In the table, first follow the information under "Condition". Look under "Terminals No. (Symbols)" for the terminals to be inspected. The standard voltage between the terminals is shown under "Specified Condition".

    Use the illustration below as a reference for the ECM terminals.
