On-Vehicle Inspection

INSPECT INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
1. Inspection procedure when using the Techstream:

  1. Warm up the engine.
  2. Stop the engine.
  3. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
  4. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
  5. Turn the Techstream on.
  6. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Activate the VSV for Intake Control.
  7. Make sure that a clicking sound is heard from the intake air control valve when current flows.
    If the result is not as specified, replace intake air surge tank.
