Installation (To 12/2010): Installation

- TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR STRUT ROD
- Install the strut rod (rear side), bolt and nut, and temporarily tighten the bolt.NOTE:
When installing the bolt, fix the nut and temporarily tighten the bolt.
HINT:
Insert the bolt from the inner side of the vehicle and temporarily install the bolt.
- Connect the strut rod (front side) with the bolt and nut.NOTE:
When installing the bolt, fix the nut and temporarily tighten the bolt.
- Install the strut rod (rear side), bolt and nut, and temporarily tighten the bolt.
- STABILIZE SUSPENSION
- Jack up the rear axle carrier, placing a wooden block to avoid damage. Apply a load to the suspension so that the installed bolt of the suspension arm assembly No. 1 (inner side of the vehicle) is horizontally aligned with the center of the rear axle hub.
- FULLY TIGHTEN REAR STRUT ROD
- Fully tighten the bolt.
Torque: 113 N*m (1,150 kgf*cm, 83 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:When installing the bolt, fix the nut and tighten the bolt.
- Fully tighten the bolt.
Torque: 113 N*m (1,150 kgf*cm, 83 ft.*lbf)
NOTE:When installing the bolt, fix the nut and tighten the bolt.
- Install the parking brake cable with the bolt.
Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf)
- Fully tighten the bolt.
- INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1,050 kgf*cm, 6 ft.*lbf)
- INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
- Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment. Refer to ADJUSTMENT .
