Center Airbag Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

- CHECK CAN BUS WIRE (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY SUB BUS LINE DISCONNECTION)
- Turn the ignition switch off.

TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector:
(to Center Airbag Sensor Assembly) - Disconnect the center airbag sensor assembly connector (D23).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified value D23-13 (CANH) - D23-22 (CANL) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG2, E1, E2)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D23-25 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω D23-26 (E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D23-21 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
