Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode (TO 12/2010): Procedure

  1. CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NAVIGATION ECU BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E54-2 (CANH) - E54-3 (CANL) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E52-20 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E52-11 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      E39-2 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (NAVIGATION ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL
