Skid Control ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS WIRE (SKID CONTROL ECU MAIN BUS LINE DISCONNECTION) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector (A34).
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified value
      A34-11 (CANH) - A34-25 (CANL) Ignition switch off 108 to 132 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG1, GND1, GND2) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified value
      A34-1 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A34-32 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified value
      A34-46 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE SKID CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL
