Removal (To 12/2010): Removal

HINT: 

Install is in the reverse order of removal.

  1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
    1. Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.
  2. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 3  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  4. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER NO. 2  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  5. REMOVE HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  6. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 11
  7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER LWR  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 12
  8. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 13
  9. REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp from the headlight dimmer switch assembly as shown in the illustration.
    3. Disengage the claw and remove the headlight dimmer switch assembly as shown in the illustration.
