Door Courtesy Switch Circuit: Procedure

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
Turn the Techstream on.
Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Body / Data List.

Read the display on the Techstream.

BODY (BODY ECU)

D door Courtesy SW	Driver side door courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF	ON: Driver side door open OFF: Driver side door closed	-
P door Courtesy SW	Passenger side door courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF	ON: Passenger side door open OFF: Passenger side door closed	-
Rear door Courtesy SW	Rear (LH and RH) door courtesy switch / ON or OFF	ON: Rear door (LH or RH) is open OFF: Rear door (LH and RH) is closed	-

NG → See step 3

OK: Go to next step

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EACH DOOR COURTESY LIGHT CIRCUIT)
1. Inspect the harness and connectors related to each light, referring to the wiring diagram.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK → PROCEED TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
1. Inspect front door courtesy switch. Refer to INSPECTION .
2. Inspect rear door courtesy switch. Refer to INSPECTION .
  OK
  
  Each door courtesy switch is normal.
NG → REPLACE DOOR COURTESY SWITCH

OK: Go to next step
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EACH COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT)
1. Inspect the harness and connectors related to each courtesy switch, referring to the wiring diagram.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK → PROCEED TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
