Door Courtesy Switch Circuit: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Select the following menu items: Body Electrical / Body / Data List.
- Read the display on the Techstream.BODY (BODY ECU)
Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note D door Courtesy SW Driver side door courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side door open
OFF: Driver side door closed- P door Courtesy SW Passenger side door courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Passenger side door open
OFF: Passenger side door closed- Rear door Courtesy SW Rear (LH and RH) door courtesy switch / ON or OFF ON: Rear door (LH or RH) is open
OFF: Rear door (LH and RH) is closed-
NG → See step 3
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EACH DOOR COURTESY LIGHT CIRCUIT)
- Inspect the harness and connectors related to each light, referring to the wiring diagram.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → PROCEED TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
- Inspect front door courtesy switch. Refer to INSPECTION .
- Inspect rear door courtesy switch. Refer to INSPECTION

Each door courtesy switch is normal.
NG → REPLACE DOOR COURTESY SWITCH
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (EACH COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT)
- Inspect the harness and connectors related to each courtesy switch, referring to the wiring diagram.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → PROCEED TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
