Door LOCK Position Circuit: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Active Test.
    5. Read the display on the Techstream.
      BODY (BODY ECU)

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      D-Door Lock Pos SW Driver side door lock position switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side door unlocked
      OFF: Driver side door locked
      -
      Passenger Lock Pos SW Front passenger side door lock position switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Front passenger side door unlocked
      OFF: Front passenger side locked
      -
      Rear Lock Position SW Rear door lock position switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Rear door (LH or RH) unlocked
      OFF: Rear door (LH and RH) locked
      -

      OK

      Normal conditions listed above are displayed.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

  2. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D6-27 - Body ground Front passenger door locked → unlocked Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V
      D8-7 - Body ground Front driver door locked → unlocked Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V
      D6-5 - Body ground Rear RH door locked → unlocked Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V
      IP-5 - Body ground Rear LH door locked → unlocked Below 1 V → 10 to 14 V

    NG → GO TO  POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM  POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
