Headlight (HI-BEAM) Circuit: Procedure

- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body No. 5 / Active Test.
- Check the operation.BODY NO. 5 (FRONT CONTROLLER)
Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Light Head (High) Headlight (high) ON/OFF - Light Head HI DRL Operation Headlight (high) ON/OFF - OK
High beam comes on.
NG → See step 2
OK → PROCEED TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - FRONT CONTROLLER)
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1F-1 - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- INSPECT ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1C-4 - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG), headlight dimmer switch in the HI position 10 to 14 V 1C-5 - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG), headlight dimmer switch in the HI position 10 to 14 V
NG → REPLACE ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (FRONT CONTROLLER)
OK → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT CONTROLLER - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
