Headlight Beam Level Warning Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL ECU 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A21-26 - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) and headlight beam level warning indicator goes off 10 to 14 V
      A21-26 - Body ground Headlight beam level warning indicator comes on Below 1 V

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT) 
    1. Inspect the harness and connectors related to the headlight beam level warning indicator light, referring to the wiring diagram.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
