Illumination Circuit: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Active Test.
    5. Check the operation.
      BODY (MAIN BODY)

      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Illuminated Entry System Interior light and ignition key cylinder light (Light switch is in DOOR position and all doors are closed). ON/OFF -

      OK

      Each light fades in.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

  2. INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT 
    1. Inspect ignition key cylinder light. Refer to INSPECTION .
    2. Inspect personal light assembly. Refer to INSPECTION .

      OK

      Each light is normal.

    NG → REPLACE INTERIOR LIGHT 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      II-10 - Body ground All door is closed → Front or rear door is open 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V
      IR-5 - Body ground All door is closed → Front or rear door is open 10 to 14 V → Below 1 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (EACH ILLUMINATE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
