Ignition Switch: Inspection

INSPECT IGNITION SWITCH

Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard Resistance

RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
Between all terminals	LOCK	10 kΩ or higher
AM1 (2) - ACC (3)	ACC	Below 1 Ω
AM1 (2) - ACC (3) AM1 (2) - IG1 (4) IG2 (6) - AM2 (7)	ON	Below 1 Ω
ST1 (1) - AM1 (2) ST1 (1) - IG1 (4) IG2 (6) - AM2 (7) IG2 (6) - ST2 (8)	START	Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
