Steering Pad Switch: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system (See AIRBAG SYSTEM ).
  2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH LH 
    1. Disconnect the pad switch connector from the spiral cable.
    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the screw.
    4. Disengage the 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch LH.

  6. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the pad switch connector from the spiral cable.
    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the screw.
    4. Disengage the 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch.

    5. Disengage the clamp.

    6. Remove the screw.
    7. Disengage the 2 pins and remove the steering pad switch assembly.
