Terminals Of Ecu

  1. CHECK HEATER CONTROL (BLOWER SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the E58 blower switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      VOLTAGE SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      E58-2 (RDEF) - E58-5 (E) BE - W-B Rear defogger signal Ignition switch ON, Rear window defogger switch OFF 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch ON, Rear window defogger switch ON Below 1 V
      E58-3 (IG+) - E58-5 (E) R - W-B Power source (IG) Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance 

    RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
    E58-5 (E) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

    If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

  2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) 
    1. Disconnect the 2F, 2G and 2Q instrument panel junction block connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage 

    VOLTAGE SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
    2G-1 - Body ground W - Body ground Power source Always 11 to 14 V
    2Q-12 - Body ground BE - Body ground DEF Relay operation signal Ignition switch ON, Rear window defogger switch OFF 11 to 14 V
    Ignition switch ON, Rear window defogger switch ON Below 1 V
    2F-2 - Body ground B - Body ground Rear window defogger wire operation signal Ignition switch ON, Rear window defogger switch OFF Below 1 V
    Ignition switch ON, Rear window defogger switch ON 11 to 14 V

    If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.
