Installation (To 12/2010): Installation

HINT: 

  1. INSTALL FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR 
    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.
    2. Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.
      WARNING:

      After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.

    3. Install the front airbag sensor (LH) with the bolt.

      Torque: 17.5 N*m (179 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • If the front airbag sensor (LH) has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
      • When installing the front airbag sensor (LH), be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
    4. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the front airbag sensor (LH).
    5. Connect the connector to the front airbag sensor (LH).
  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  3. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  4. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  6. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIMING 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT

  7. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

      HINT: 

      Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

  8. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
