How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  4. CONNECT TECHSTREAM TO THE DLC3* 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK AND CLEAR DTCS AND FREEZE FRAME DATA* 
    1. Refer to the DTC CHECK / CLEAR. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  6. VISUAL INSPECTION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. SETTING CHECK MODE DIAGNOSIS* 
    1. Refer to the CHECK MODE PROCEDURE. Refer to CHECK MODE PROCEDURE .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  8. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 
    1. Refer to the ROAD TEST. Refer to ROAD TEST .

  9. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 
    1. Refer to the ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE .

  10. DTC CHECK* 
    1. Refer to the DTC CHECK / CLEAR. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

  11. BASIC INSPECTION 
    1. Refer to the AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID. Refer to ADJUSTMENT .
    2. Refer to the PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION .
    3. Refer to the SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION .

      NG → GO TO STEP   21 

      OK: Go to next step 

  12. MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST 
    1. Refer to the MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST. Refer to MECHANICAL SYSTEM TESTS .

      NG → GO TO STEP   17 

      OK: Go to next step 

  13. HYDRAULIC TEST 
    1. Refer to the HYDRAULIC TEST. Refer to HYDRAULIC TEST .
