2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT: Although the part name refers to the No. 1 crank position sensors, this procedure is for the camshaft position sensors.

1. INSTALL NO. 1 CRANK POSITION SENSOR





(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-rings on the No. 1 crank position sensors.
(b) Intake camshaft side:




(1) Install the No. 1 crank position sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)




(2) Connect the No. 1 crank position sensor connector.
(c) Exhaust camshaft side:




(1) Install the No. 1 crank position sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)




(2) Connect the No. 1 crank position sensor.




(3) Connect the 3 engine wire harness clamps and duty vacuum switching connector.
2. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
