Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
If the steering column or power steering ECU is replaced, perform rotation angle sensor initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration (See CALIBRATION
).
- INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
- Initialize the rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (See CALIBRATION ).
- RECONFIRM DTC
- Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
Result
RESULT REFERENCECondition Proceed to DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times*1. A DTCs are still output even after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 1 or 2 times*2. B Normal system code is output. C HINT: - *1: The power steering ECU must be replaced if DTC C1515 or C1525 is still output even after rotation angle sensor value initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration are performed 3 times.
- *2: Perform rotation angle sensor value initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration again if DTC C1515 or C1525 is still output even after the calibration is performed 1 or 2 times.

- Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
- REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU
- Replace the power steering ECU (See POWER STEERING ECU ).
- INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
- Initialize the rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (See CALIBRATION ).
- RECONFIRM DTC
- Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
