YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR (w/ VSC): Installation

  1. INSTALL YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR 
    1. Connect the connector and clamp to the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.
      NOTE: Make sure that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor connector is connected securely.

    2. Insert the claw on the yaw rate and acceleration sensor bracket into the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and install the sensor with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Keep foreign matter from adhering to the contact surfaces between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor bracket and body.
      • Do not damage the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.
      • Make sure that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor is installed securely.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    HINT:

    Refer to the instructions for Installation of the front seat assembly (w/o Seatback Board) (See INSTALLATION ).

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  4. INSPECT AND ADJUST YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT 

    (See CALIBRATION  )

  5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
