Valve Body Assembly: Installation

  1. INSTALL MANUAL VALVE 
    1. Install the manual valve to the valve body.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the spring and check ball body.

    2. Align the groove of the manual valve with the pin of lever.
    3. Install the 17 bolts.

      Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)

      NOTE:
      • Push the valve body against the accumulator piston spring and the check ball body to install it.
      • Temporarily tighten the bolts marked * in the illustration first because they are positioning bolts.

      HINT:

      Each bolt length is indicated below.

      Bolt length: 

      Bolt A: 

      25 mm (0.984 in.) 

      Bolt B: 

      41 mm (1.61 in.) 

      Bolt C: 

      45 mm (1.77 in.) 

  3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION WIRE 
    1. Coat the O-ring of the temperature sensor with ATF WS.
    2. Install the ATF temperature sensor with the lock plate and bolt.

      Torque: 6.6 N*m (67 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the transmission wire to the 5 shift solenoid valve connectors.

  4. INSTALL VALVE BODY OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Coat a new O-ring with ATF WS.
    2. Install the O-ring to the oil strainer.

    3. Install the oil strainer with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

  5. INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 
  7. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID 
  8. INSPECT TRANSAXLE FLUID LEVEL  (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID )
