Downhill Assist Control Switch: Inspection

  1. CHECK DOWNHILL ASSIST CONTROL SWITCH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 4 Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      1 - 4 Pushed in Below 25 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

    2. Check the illumination operation.
      1. Connect the battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2. Then check that the bulb illuminates.

      OK: Bulb illuminates. 

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
