Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform the zero point calibration (See
CALIBRATION ).
- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
- Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
Result
RESULT CHARTResult Proceed to DTC is not output. A DTC is output. B B : REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A : Go to Next Step
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (BUZZER)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the Active Test mode on the Techstream (See DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST ).
ABS/VSC/TRAC:
ABS/VSC/TRAC REFERENCE CHARTTester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Buzzer Skid control buzzer Buzzer ON/OFF Buzzer can be heard. OK: The skid control buzzer can be heard.
OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
NG : Go to Next Step
- INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- Inspect the combination meter (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
NG : REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
OK : REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
