Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard voltage 

    STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    E76-7 (MCVD) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 4 to 6 V

    NG: REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

    OK: GO to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the E76 radio receiver connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    E76-3 (TSW-) - E76-6 (MGND) Always Below 1 Ω
    E76-3 (TSW-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: GO to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MICROPHONE - RADIO RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the M1 microphone connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard resistance 

    STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    E76-7 (MCVD) - M1-3 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
    E76-2 (MIC+) - M1-2 (MI1+) Always Below 1 Ω
    E76-1 (MIC-) - M1-1 (MIC-) Always Below 1 Ω
    M1-3 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    M1-2 (MIC+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    M1-1 (MIC-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
