DTC B1797: Calibration Malfunction: Procedure

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Clear the DTCs stored in the center airbag sensor assembly. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 10 seconds.
- Check for the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

DTC B1797 is not output.
HINT:
Codes other than B1797 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

- READ VALUE USING DATA LIST (SPECIFIED CONDITION FOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Using the Techstream, read the DATA LIST. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST

- PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Using the Techstream, perform the zero point calibration. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

If the DTCs are not cleared at this time, past DTCs will remain.

- REPLACE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH (OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- Front seat (for power seat)
- Replace the front seat cushion (with occupant classification ECU and occupant detection sensor). Refer to DISASSEMBLY .
- Front seat (for manual seat)
- Replace the front seat cushion (with occupant classification ECU and occupant detection sensor). Refer to DISASSEMBLY .
- Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Clear the DTCs stored in the center airbag sensor assembly. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
NEXT: Go to next step
- PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Using the Techstream, perform the zero point calibration. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant classification ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
