How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:
- Use these procedures to troubleshoot the push-button start function.

- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
- Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally (See
HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
).

- Using the Techstream, check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally (See
HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
).
- CHECK FOR DTC*
- Check for DTCs and write down any stored DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Clear the DTCs.
- Check whether output of the same DTC(s), relevant to the SFI or smart key systems, recurs by reproducing the symptoms indicated by the DTC(s) written down in the first step above.
