Steering Angle Sensor: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 
    1. Install the steering sensor onto the spiral cable.

  2. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER LWR  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. CENTER SPIRAL CABLE  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 
  7. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:
    • Make sure that the cable has been disconnected from the battery terminal for at least 2 seconds before reconnecting the cable.
    • Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal with the front wheels facing straight ahead.
  10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
