On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Start the engine and warm it up.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test.
    5. Check the engine speed when the OCV (camshaft timing oil control valve) is operated by the Techstream.

      OK 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Condition Specified Condition
      VVT system is OFF (OCV is OFF) Normal engine speed
      VVT system is ON (OCV is ON) Rough idle or engine stalled
