Knock Sensor: Removal

DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE
(See REMOVAL )
REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (See REPLACEMENT )
REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

REMOVE FRONT OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY
1. Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle body [A].
2. Disconnect the vapor feed hose [B].
3. Disconnect the throttle body connector and clamp [C].

4. Disconnect the ventilation hose [D].
5. Disconnect the union to check valve hose [E].
6. Disconnect the connector [F].

7. Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts [G].
8. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and intake air surge tank [H].
9. Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank [I].
REMOVE FUEL MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL DISASSEMBLY )
REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE KNOCK CONTROL SENSOR
1. Disconnect the 2 knock sensor connectors.
2. Remove the 2 bolts and then remove the 2 knock control sensors.
