Engine Control System (1AR-FE) - System Testing, Removal & Installation: ECM: Installation

INSTALL ECM
1. Install the bracket to the ECM with the 5 screws.

2. Install the ECM with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

3. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.
  NOTE:
  - When connecting the connector, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connector and other part.
  - Make sure that the 2 levers are securely lowered.

4. Install the 3 wire harness clamps.

INSTALL AIR CLEANER BRACKET
1. Install the air cleaner bracket with the 2 bolts.
  Torque: 7.8 N*m (80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf)

INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK
1. Install the windshield wiper motor and link (See INSTALLATION ).
INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See INSTALLATION )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
PERFORM REGISTRATION
1. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be input into a replacement ECM (See REGISTRATION ).
