Engine Control System (2GR-FE) - System And Component Inspection, Testing And R & I: ECM: Installation
- INSTALL ECM
- Install the 2 brackets to the ECM with the 4 screws.
Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)
- Install the ECM with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
- Connect the 2 ECM connectors.NOTE: When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other parts.
- Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.NOTE: Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
- Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.
- Install the 2 brackets to the ECM with the 4 screws.
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
HINT:
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Perform Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration (See INITIALIZATION ).
- Register the ECM communication ID for the immobilizer system when replacing the ECM (See INITIALIZATION ).
- Perform Initialization when replacing the ECM (See INSTALLATION ).
