Radio Receiver Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E40-20 (E) - Body ground*1 Always Below 1 Ω
      E1-7 (E) - Body ground*2 Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E40-1 (B) - E40-20 (E)*1 Always 11 to 14 V
      E1-4 (B) - E1-7 (E)*2 Always 11 to 14 V
      E40-11 (ACC) - E40-20 (E)*1 Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      E1-3 (ACC) - E1-7 (E)*2 Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V
      • *1: for 7 Speakers
      • *2: Except for 7 Speakers

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
