IGNITION SWITCH (w/o Smart Key System): Inspection: Inspection

  1. INSPECT IGNITION OR STATER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the switch resistance.

      Resistance

      Switch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition
      LOCK - 10 kΩ or higher
      ACC 1 (ST1) - 3 (ACC) Below 1 Ω
      ON 1 (ST1) - 2 (AM1)
      1 (ST1) - 3 (ACC)
      5 (IG2) - 6 (AM2)
      Below 1 Ω
      START 1 (ST1) - 2 (AM1)
      4 (IG1) - 5 (IG2)
      5 (IG2) - 6 (AM2)
      Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the ignition or starter switch assembly.
