Sound Signal Circuit Between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - STEREO JACK ADAPTER) 
    1. Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the stereo jack adapter connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E38-4 (AUXO) - E32-19 (AUXI) Always Below 1 Ω
      E38-3 (ASGN) - E32-16 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      E38-2 (ARO) - E32-15 (ARI) Always Below 1 Ω
      E38-1 (ALO) - E32-17 (ALI) Always Below 1 Ω
      E38-4 (AUXO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E38-3 (ASGN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E38-2 (ARO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E38-1 (ALO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
