Knock Sensor: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  2. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 51
  3. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 55
  4. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the 2 sensor connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 sensors.
