Power Windows do not Operate at All: Procedure
- INSPECT FUSE (PWR, ECU-IG, AM1)
- Remove the fuses from the driver side J/B.
- Check the resistance.
Standard resistance
Below 1 Ω
NG → REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT RELAY (IG1, PWR)
- Remove the relay from the driver side J/B.
- Check the resistance of the relay.
Standard resistance
Terminal No. Specified Condition 3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher Below 1 Ω
(When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)
NG → REPLACE RELAY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the 1A, 1H and 1L J/B connectors.
- Check the voltage and resistance between each terminal of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.
Standard voltage
Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition 1A-1 - Body ground Constant 10 to 14 V Standard resistance
Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition 1L-16 - Body ground Constant Below 1 Ω 1H-10 - 1H-29 Ignition switch ON Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH)
- Disconnect the D9 master switch connector.
- Check the voltage or resistance between each terminal of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.
Standard voltage
Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition D9-6 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V D9-11 (IG) - Body ground Standard resistance
Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition D9-1 (E) - Body ground Constant Below 1 Ω
OK → REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK - POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH)
- Disconnect the 1L and 1K J/B connectors.
- Disconnect the D9 master switch connector.
- Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance
Terminal No. Specified Condition 1K-20 - D9-6 (B) Below 1 Ω 1L-23 - D9-11 (IG)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK → REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
