Power Windows do not Operate at All: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (PWR, ECU-IG, AM1) 
    1. Remove the fuses from the driver side J/B.
    2. Check the resistance.

      Standard resistance

      Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT RELAY (IG1, PWR) 
    1. Remove the relay from the driver side J/B.

    2. Check the resistance of the relay.

      Standard resistance

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      3 - 5 10 kΩ or higher
      Below 1 Ω
      (When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

    NG → REPLACE RELAY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 1A, 1H and 1L J/B connectors.

    2. Check the voltage and resistance between each terminal of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.

      Standard voltage

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      1A-1 - Body ground Constant 10 to 14 V

      Standard resistance

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      1L-16 - Body ground Constant Below 1 Ω
      1H-10 - 1H-29 Ignition switch ON Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TO POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the D9 master switch connector.

    2. Check the voltage or resistance between each terminal of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.

      Standard voltage

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      D9-6 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
      D9-11 (IG) - Body ground

      Standard resistance

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      D9-1 (E) - Body ground Constant Below 1 Ω

    OK → REPLACE POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH 

    NG: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK - POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the 1L and 1K J/B connectors.

    2. Disconnect the D9 master switch connector.
    3. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      1K-20 - D9-6 (B) Below 1 Ω
      1L-23 - D9-11 (IG)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK → REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
