Manual Up / Down Function does not Operate on Rear RH Only: Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the P39 regulator switch connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Check the voltage between the terminal 4 of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.

      Standard voltage

      Terminal No. Condition Specified Condition
      P39-4 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REGULATOR SWITCH - RELAY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (REAR RH) 
    1. Remove the regulator switch.

    2. Check the resistance between the switch terminals when the switch is operated, as shown in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Terminal No. Regulator Switch Specified Condition
      1 - 2, 3 - 4 UP Below 1 Ω
      1 - 2, 3 - 5 OFF
      1 - 4, 3 - 5 DOWN

    NG → REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH (REAR RH) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (REGULATOR - MOTOR) (REGULATOR SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the P43 motor connector.

    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P39-1 (D) - P43-2 Below 1 Ω
      P39-3 (U) - P43-1
    3. Check the resistance between the P39 regulator switch connector and body ground.

      Standard resistance

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      P39-1 (D) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      P39-3 (U) - Body ground

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR RH) 
    1. Remove the motor.

    2. Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check that the motor smoothly rotates.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.

      Standard

      Terminal No. Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 1
      Battery negative (-) → 2
      Motor gear rotates counterclockwise
      Battery positive (+) → 2
      Battery negative (-) → 1
      Motor gear rotates clockwise

    NG → REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (REAR RH) 

    OK → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - REGULATOR SWITCH)
