DTC B2311: Power Window Motor Malfunction: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) 
    1. Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that each door window regulator operates. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
      WARNING:

      Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function does not operate.

      D-DOOR MOTOR

      Each power window motor operates.

      NG (Driver side power window) B
      NG (Front passenger side power window) C

    C → See step   5 

    B → See step   4 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Initialize the power window regulator motor. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
    2. Check that each power window operates normally by opening and closing each window. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .

      OK

      Each power window operates normally.

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      OK A
      NG (Driver side power window) B
      NG (Front passenger side power window) C

    C → See step   5 

    B → See step   4 

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY 
    1. Check that the power window components are installed correctly.

      OK

      Power window components are installed correctly.

      HINT: 

      When the power window components are installed correctly, the problem has been caused by battery disconnection while the ignition switch is ON or the motor being overheated.

    NG → INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY 

    OK → END 

  4. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL
