Mute Signal Circuit between Stereo Component Tuner Assembly and Multi-media Interface ECU: Procedure
- CHECK STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition G24-6 (MUTE) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC, Satellite radio playing → Changing source Higher than 3.5 V → Below 1 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Component with harness connected

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU)
- Disconnect the G24 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
- Disconnect the G23 multi-media interface ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G24-6 (MUTE) - G23-14 (MUT2) Always Below 1 Ω G24-6 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4

- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
