Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER) 
    1. Disconnect the G16 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F31 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G16-17 (ALI) - F31-1 (ALO) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-15 (ARI) - F31-2 (ARO) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-16 (ASGN) - F31-3 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-18 (AGND) - F31-5 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-19 (AUXI) - F31-4 (AUXO) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-17 (ALI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G16-15 (ARI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G16-16 (ASGN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G16-18 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G16-19 (AUXI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
