Sound Signal Circuit between Stereo Component Tuner Assembly and Multi-media Interface ECU: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the G24 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G23 multi-media interface ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G24-1 (SLD) - G23-6 (USD2) Always Below 1 Ω
      G24-2 (FRO+) - G23-8 (URI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G24-3 (FRO-) - G23-16 (URI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G24-4 (FLO+) - G23-7 (ULI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G24-5 (FLO-) - G23-15 (ULI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G24-2 (FRO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G24-3 (FRO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G24-4 (FLO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G24-5 (FLO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G24-1 (SLD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
